Weight Loss Coaching

Weight loss is not about dieting!!!!     Tape and fork

Walkers
It's about getting the balance right for your body
Eating for life not just to  lose weight
Getting your physical activities right and enjoying them
Hydrating your body and increasing your vitality
Weight is only the outer effect of a fear that is inside you

Coaching will establish:-

1. What caused the weight gain, your mindset and level of motivation to correct your weight.
2. Existing eating habits and current level of activity.
3. Whether there are any existing medical problems and medication.
4. What you have done to correct your weight and how it has worked in the past.
5. Your beliefs about your body and weight.
6. How we need to approach your particular challenges.

We  talk about your desire and motivation to lose weight and your thinking on the subject
and from this work out what is best for you personally we  work out:-
How much weight you want to lose and a realistic timescale
What activities you enjoy and would be willing to do or take part in.
What your favourite foods are and how you can still have them in moderation.
What you are prepared to do and not do to reach your desired outcome.

    Swimming     Walk in park     Cycling

    fruit 2    strawberries    drink water
Colourful foods, good hydration, healthy snacks and enjoyable activity

You are encouraged by your coach to keep a day to day journal listing what you eat
drink and how you feel mentally and physically and to set realistic targets that you can
reach easily.
You are also encouraged to question your own actions i.e:
"How do I feel if I eat the wrong food?"
"How do I feel if I eat healthier food?"
"How do I want to feel?"
"How do I not want to feel?"

The word diet usually gets alarm bells ringing in the minds of most people as it is associated
with cutting out favourite foods and going hungry.  This is not neccessary! With a good eating
plan which can help maintain a healthy weight favourite foods and snacks can still be eaten
in moderation. It's all about balance, that is balancing intake of food with activity. If you are
inactive then you will use less calories or energy than someone who is very active.
With your eating plan you will be encouraged to become more active and that does not have
to mean working out at the gym or going for a run every day.  It's about finding the right activity
for you personally which you will enjoy and it won't be a chore.

You are not pushed into anything as your coach I work with you find the simplest and best
way for you to lose weight and improve your health and vitality a way that you can cope with and
maintain. What we want to avoid is yo-yo dieting which over time depletes the muscles the aim is
to maintain muscle which helps the body to burn fat faster and strengthens your bone structure.
