Hi my name is Jan Perkins and I'm a Life Coach specialising in Personal Development and Weight Loss.
With Diplomas in Life Coaching and NLP, I have twelve years experience of personal development
and twenty seven years experience in health, nutrition and weight loss.
I have coached many clients including Coaches themselves and have been coached myself.
I am committed to my own constant and never ending improvement and not a day passes without I do
something to improve myself and my life and I encourage you to do the same.
This year I am taking courses in EFT (emotional freedom technique) or meridian tapping which

Career/job
Many people are in the wrong career/job these days, mainly out of neccessity, either because it
pays well and they have committments to meet or because they feel they are lucky to have
any job in the present economic climate-though some just don't know what else to do.
Coaching can help you discover your purpose in life which could lead to your dream job or even
new business doing something you love and being paid for, wouldn't that be great?
Home
We all have very busy lives and spend less and less time at home-and they say home is
where the heart is-so coaching can help you balance your work and home life. Not only
do we like to spend time in our homes with family and friends, we also need to make our
house a home that reflects who we are.
Making our home a haven where we can relax and be ourselves is of paramount
importance and coaching can help with issues such as de-cluttering and making your
own personal space.
Finances
The old saying "Money can't buy you happiness" is so true. many people are worried about
money. It's a sign of the times and never worth losing sleep over. I am no money expert
though coaching can help with organising finances and working on our beliefs about money
which governs the way we handle and keep money.
Social Life
We all need friends and an active social life letting our hair down and having a laugh with others
makes us feel good. Whether with a group of friends or our best friend we all need someone
to talk to, share secrets and have fun with. If your social life is non existant then coaching
can help you discover ways to make new friends and meet other people building your confidence
and self esteem.
Relationships
Your personal relationship is probably the most important of all in your life and has to be worked
at and nurtured for it to survive. May people feel trapped in their relationship others just
unhappy and some may feel neglected or unappreciated. A coach will always work on the positive or
plus side of the relationship and help you to see where it is going and how you can make it work.
If however during or after coaching you decide to end a relationship it will certainly be because
you have tried all avenues and it will be entirely your decision.

Coaching can help to recall past dreams and aspirations and work on your present dreams and
goals. Too many people let their dreams die because others may have quashed them with things
they have said in the past or because they don't believe in themselves enough to make them a

Health & fitness
Again this is about balance, balancing our eating habits with activity, targeting problem areas and
keeping weight down finding out what caused weight gain and other health issues and what could be
underlying. Planning a course of action, monitoring progress and Using methods to boost vitality as
well as increasing water intake.
This is a very personalised area of coaching and each person is different in their health needs.
Post Natal Depression
Commonly known as (the baby blues) post natal depression is not neccessarily a feeling of
sadness, it can bring about feelings of anxiety, irrational fear, morbid thoughts, feeling of
being out of control, feeling overwhelmed, thinking and feeling you are a bad mother, thoughts
that are uncontrollable and even suicidal thoughts.
Having been there myself I understand this condition and coaching can be a very good way of
helping you to understand what is happening and the best way of dealing with your situation.
Don't be afraid to get help, many people have felt this way and with help it passes it is only a
temporary state.
Balance career & life
Coaching can help balance all areas of your life, which is hard to do nowadays leaving people
wondering what they are doing wrong, where the time went to and how they are going to
manage to keep juggling their lives without burn out. Coaching can help by looking at the
areas that are out of balance, and using time management, prioritising, delegating action
planning and letting go among other tools.
Every thing we do in life starts with a thought or seed. From there comes a strong desire
